SENATOR MARCO RUBIO

United States Senator Marco Rubio is the senior senator from Florida. As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights, and Global Women’s Issue, Senator Rubio continues to fight for human rights and to uphold democracy around the globe. Additionally, Senator Rubio is a member of the influential Senate Appropriations Committee, responsible for allocating funding for the federal government. In February 2021, Senator Rubio helped reintroduce the bipartisan Libya Stabilization Act in the Senate, stating, “I’m proud to once again join Senator Coons in re-introducing this important bill which seeks to strengthen U.S. policy towards Libya in support of a peaceful resolution to the on-going conflict. We must continue working to hold accountable and impose serious costs on those who are destabilizing Libya.”
