MISSION STATEMENT

The Libyan American Alliance is dedicated to advocating for impactful U.S. policy toward Libya by bridging governments, citizens and civil society organizations in order to develop robust and sustainable solutions to the time-sensitive issues confronting Libya.
PUBLIC DIPLOMACY & ADVOCACY

LAA continues working vehemently, advocating for this bill and other efforts that will benefit both Libya and the U.S. However, we can’t get this bill passed alone. We need all of you—Libyans, Libyan Americans, and allies—to raise your voice and ask Congress to support #LibyaStabilization in 2021.

JUSTICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY

LAA strives to hold accountable all actors perpetuating the instability in Libya as well as entities implicated in gross human rights violations, sweeping human rights abuses, and war crimes – whether a Libyan citizen, militias, external backer, foreign national, or state-affiliated mercenary. To that end, LAA has consulted on a suit against a warlord

Community Outreach

Through LAA’s partnership with the NoMuslimBanEver campaign, our organization had the opportunity to take on a number of ventures to fight against the travel ban on Libyan visitors. Throughout the campaign, LAA encouraged Libyan Americans across the country to get in touch with their representatives about the NO BAN Act and shared campaign media about the Muslim Ban.
